A bit about me:
I'm a game designer
based in Sydney
Initially, my understanding of computer-human interaction was limited to the few applications I would have tried. This changed when I attended CHI 2019 in Scotland to present the research paper I had co-authored. I experienced a redefinition of my understanding of technology and play. This inspired me to discover and work towards my passion for unravelling the powerful world of tech. Today, I can see, imagine and create the layers beneath this world.
I believe good design is a narrative that communicates the most complex stories. The creation of a playful interaction that can create a palpable experience and engage the human psyche from end-to-end, fascinates me. I take a keen interest in game design, user interaction, play experience, product design, illustration, research, graphic design and child psychology.
During my graduation from the esteemed National Institute of fashion technology, India (NIFT Bangalore 2017 - Accessory design), I realised that my muse for any design was finding a unique playful way to involve the user. This propelled me to my master's programme in Toy and Game Design at the renowned National Institute of Design, India (NID), where I could learn more about how to bring my passion for play into the real world. I went on to work as a creative designer with celebrated Indian brands such as Chumbak, Shumee Toys and Chalk and Chuckles.
I have co-authored and published two research papers in the ACM Library in Ed-Tech and Game Design. I have worked as an Associate Game Designer at Zynga (India) from 2020 for two years, working with large IPs such as Game of Thrones and Willy Wonka. My communication skills I take great pride in, helps me coordinate easily with all my counterparts in studios across the globe effectively. My previous role at Bombay Play in 2022 allowed me to design brand new games end-to-end as well. I currently work as a game designer at Murka Games as a full-time game designer since 2023, designing engaging experiences in game that drive DAU and ARPDAU. My passion for research and rigorous work around it lets me churn high results. My eye for detail lets me iron out ideas and concepts early on and tackle projects with ease.
